Mat Production

Chopped strand mats are a kind of non-woven reinforcement.

In Mat Production process, assembled rovings are chopped to a specified length by using a roll with blades and an elastomeric roll, and then fall on the transportation carpet randomly forming a chopped stand mat.

The chopped strands are bonded together by either an emulsion binder or a polyester powder.
